up the mountain

Hubby took me for a ride up the mountain to show me the foxgloves growing along the roadside.

There was a lot to see in the short ride!

The little flat spot in the middle is an actual ski field.

Bits of foxglove color popped up all along the road.

A gentle beauty in an otherwise rugged looking landscape!

Terrific photos along this amazing lane. I can see why you wanted to see the foxglove, it is beautiful.

The foxgloves is very beautiful. They grow like that here too in the summer. I like them very much.

I wish you a nice weekend.

They grow wild around here too, though I also grew them in my mother's garden for many years. Lovely photographs to see in the middle of an English winter.

I think we need more signs around the country in favour of the dogs.

Foxgloves in the wild! Even more beautiful than in a garden:) Many thanks for your blog friendship this year, Betty. It has meant a lot to me! Wishing you and your hubby a very merry Christmas! And see you back New Year for All Seasons:)

I love the picture with the open road - such a romantic shot! Foxgloves have such a fascinating pattern inside each flower ... I am sure you thanked your husband for such a lovely trip out!
